The Process |
|
The petitioner or any interested party discusses desired use or development with a Planning staff member to be sure it cannot be accomplished using existing zoning regulations. If not, the petitioner drafts new text to be considered for inclusion in the Zoning Ordinance. |

· The petitioner files the draft text with the Planning Department. · The Town Board of Commissioners sets a public hearing date, generally one month from text submission. · After the public hearing, the Planning Board reviews the draft text and makes a recommendation. · The Board of Commissioners approves, denies, or modifies and approves the text change. |
